The lost gospels, complete and honest. Real manuscripts, named translators. One-time price. No ads, no account, nothing leaves your phone.

Complete texts

Every text complete, with standard scholarly numbering, chapter-forward navigation, and the manuscript's gaps shown honestly — never smoothed over.

Made for reading

Long-form reader with day and night themes, adjustable type, full-text search across your library, and a daily passage at the time you choose.

Your notes, yours

Highlight any verse, attach notes, export everything to a plain text file. All of it stays on your device — there is no cloud, because there is no account.

Honest by design

Why we built it this way

The existing apps in this space are ad-supported text dumps: missing texts, broken navigation, duplicate verses, device IDs shared with ad networks, and translations of unclear provenance. We built the opposite. The Gnostic Library is the reading experience these texts deserved all along — assembled from public domain translations and our own labeled renderings, credited on every screen, wrapped in an app that respects both the scriptures and your privacy.

It comes from the makers of Gospel of Thomas Daily, the devotional companion app for the text that started it all.

Common questions

Is The Gnostic Library app free?

The app is free to download with three complete texts free forever: the Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of Mary, and Thunder Perfect Mind, plus the daily reading and all reader features. All Access — every text, every future text — is a one-time $9.99 purchase. No subscription.

Does the app collect my data?

No. The app runs entirely on your device: no account, no analytics, no trackers, no network calls. Your highlights, notes, and reading progress never leave your phone. The Play Store data-safety label reads: no data collected, no data shared — and you can verify that claim there.

Which texts are included?

At launch: Thomas, Mary, and Thunder free; All Access adds the Gospels of Judas, Philip, Truth, and Peter, the Secret Book of James, the Infancy Gospels, the Egerton Gospel, the Hymn of the Pearl, Pistis Sophia selections, and more — with new texts added in free updates for All Access owners.

When is the iOS version coming?

Android ships first; the iOS version follows within weeks, with the same one-time price and the same privacy posture — no subscription and no account, on either platform.
